in Sun City this past July. The award/board meeting will take place at 17017

CPR stands for Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation. CPR is
a procedure that restores normal breathing after cardiac arrest that includes
the clearance of airway passage to the lungs, mouth-to mouth method of
artificial resuscitation and heart massage by the exertion of pressure upon the
chest cavity. Many citizens are aware of what CPR is; however do not know how
to properly administer this possible life saving action. CPR mainly is known to
save near drowning victims; however there are many other types of incidents
that CPR may be used.
Mr. Lin Key, an employee of Sun City Express, was
found by a crew from the Sun City Fire Department administering CPR to a
citizen in need during Mr. Keys normal morning air port route. Due to Mr. Key’s
actions, it prolonged the individual’s life. This act of bravery and kindness
is something the citizens and members of the Sun City community should be made
aware of. Our department and community will be awarding Mr. Key with a special
token of gratitude; along with offering the opportunity to CPR certify all the
employees of Sun City Express.
The importance of preventative training and education
is so important especially CPR! The Sun City Fire Department offers CPR
certification to all of its residents free of charge once monthly. For more
