Sun City Fire & Medical Department is currently hiring for a full-time EMS paramedics and emergency medical technicians.  Preference will be given to paramedic applicants.  To be considered for the first review of applicants,    testing must be completed and submitted through the National Testing Network (www.nationaltestingnetwork.com) by May 4, 2018.  The job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Sun City Fire & Medical Department is currently recruiting for full-time and part-time Paramedic and EMT positions through National Testing Network.   Projected hiring is July 2018.

Minimum requirements for this position are: 18 years of age or older; valid Arizona driver’s license; current Arizona State emergency medical technician (EMT) or certified emergency paramedic (CEP) certification; high school diploma or GED equivalent; documentation that provides proof of identity and employability as required by IRCA law. 

This position requires both MedicTEAM written exam and Medic Mile.  A valid CPAT (within the last six months) will be accepted in place of the Medic Mile. Oral interviews will begin May 2018.

Compensation, benefits, and qualifications

Hourly Pay Rate (Range): Paramedics - $14.14 hourly/$47,227 annually; EMTs - $11.11 hourly/$37,107 annually

Selection Process: Applicants whose experience and skills most closely meet the needs of this position may be invited to participate in a testing process. Selection Criteria may include any or all of the following: review of submitted application; written examination and/or assessment center; physical ability test; oral board; background/ driver’s license verification and check; and conditional offer of employment physical / psychological exam and/or drug screen.

Preference points  will be given to veterans.
